1512998 Sheet conveyer FERAG AG 23 May 1975 [28 May 1974] 22569/75 Heading B8R Sheets 2 in an overlapping stream carried on conveyers 1 and 7 are picked up by grippers 6 supported on an endless carrier 11, the lower clamping jaws 37 of the grippers being mounted for turning movement relative to their supports 28 as well as for movement towards the upper jaws. The turning and closing movement of the lower jaws is caused by upward pressure from the conveyer 7 or by camming means alongside the conveyer track. Once closed the lower jaws are retained in this position by a pawl until further camming means cause their release. Several mechanisms for achieving the movement of the lower jaws are described.

The invention relates to devices for transporting cascading incoming printed products.
A device is known for transporting cascading incoming printed products, mainly folded printed sheets, comprising a chain conveyor with grippers fixed thereon, each of which has a body connected to a chain with a support plate, an axially spring-loaded rod supporting the clamping plate forming in the channel of the body with a support plate a clamping pair, and means for turning the rod around its axis u.
The known device has a complex structure and unreliable operation.
In order to simplify the design and increase the reliability of its operation by reducing the time to control the grippers, each gripper has a means for fixing the position of the rod with the clamping plate when closing the gripper, while in each gripper the rod is freely installed in the housing channel ·
The means for fixing the position of the rod is made in the form of a spring-loaded plate fixed at one end with a hole through which the rod passes.
The spring of the rod with the clamping plate is fixed with its ends in the housing and on the rod and pre-twisted.
The tool for turning the rod has a pin fixed to the rod with its middle part 10 for turning the rod in two mutually opposite directions.
In FIG. 1 shows a described device, a general view, in FIG. 2 15 a part of the device in FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale; in FIG. 3 - section AA in FIG. * 2; in FIG. 4 - groove for turning the pin, in FIG. 5 - various phases of the position of the grips; 20, FIG. b and 7 ~ captures, side view, * in FIG. 8 is a section AA in FIG. 2 (capture embodiment) *, in FIG. 9, a groove for turning the pin; figure 10 capture, horizontal projection; 25 of FIG. 11 - the same option;
in FIG. 12-14 - chain conveyor with options for the execution of grippers, section.
A device for transporting 30 cascading incoming printed products 3, mainly folded printed sheets 1, comprises a conveyor belt 2 mounted on a carriage 3. The carriage 3 is located on the shaft 4 and deviates together with the printed sheets 1 upward by the action of the spring 5. A chain texporter is located above the carriage b with wheels 7 and 8, which moves in hollow guides 9, having a corresponding shape. It moves in the vertical direction using the rollers 10 and 11 and in the horizontal direction using the rollers 12.
The rollers 10 and 11 are located on the pin 13, are made to rotate freely and are kept from axial movement by spacer washers 14 and 15. On the pin 13 there is a sleeve 16 with plates 17 and 18. The pin 13 carries the earrings 19 and 20, the elongated sides of which extend through the groove of the guide 9.
The grippers 21 are fixed on the chain conveyor B. Each gripper 21 has a housing 22 with a support plate 23. A rod 25 is freely located in the channel 24 of the housing 22, which is spring-loaded in the 25th axis by a spring 26. The rod 25 carries a clamping plate 27. A means for turning rod 25 around its axis includes a cylindrical pin 28, mounted in the housing 22 and moved in the grooves 29 of the rod 25. The grooves 29 are diametrically opposed (see Fig. 4).
The clamping plate 27 is directed towards the guide 9 and forms an angle with the support plate 23.
Each grip 21 has means for fixing the position of the rod with the clamping plate 27 when closing the grip, which is made in the form of a plate 30 fixed at one end to the housing 22. A rod 25 goes through the hole. It lives on the plate on the housing 22.
The spring 32 holds the plate 30 in an inclined position relative to the rod 25. The rod 25 can be rotated from the off position without moving upward, so that the plate 30 is held against the action of the spring 32 due to the frictional forces arising in the plate 30 of the pro-plate 30 ud31, which are strengthened as a result of the skew of the plate relative to the rod 25. Skew of the plate 30 can occur and due to the fact that the rod 25 presses down through the spring 26 and with the help of the groove 29 is simultaneously twisted so that the clamping plate 27 comes out of overlap with the support plate 23 (see Fig. 3).
To actuate the plate 60, a nozzle 33 is mounted on its free end, interacting with the control roller 34 mounted on the rod of the actuator 35. The nozzle 33, with the help of the roller 34, tilts the plate 30 up, releasing the rod 25.
The first gripper 21 is still open, the rod 25 presses slightly upward on the edge of the moving printed sheets 1 (see Fig. 5). At the second grip 21, the pin 28 has entered the middle inclined guide region of the groove and the rotation of the clamping plate 27 begins. The plate 27 picks up the passing edge of the printing sheet 1, on which the supporting plate 23 is superimposed.
The axial stroke of the groove 29 allows the rod 25 to press on the printed sheet 1 until it is completely clamped. At the location of the roller 34, controlled by the cylinder 35, the printed sheets 1 are released.
A rod 36, similar to the rod 25, rises above the housing 37. At the end of the rod 36 is attached a bolt 38 that carries the roller 39. The rod 36 has a pin fixed with its middle part, the ends 40 and .41 of which are directed in opposite directions to communicate the rotation of the rod 36 . The rod 36 moves up due to the grooves 42 located in its body.
To rotate the clamping plate 27 from the off position at which the support plate 23 overlaps, the pin interacts with its end 41 with a stop collar 43 mounted on the guide 9.
To rotate the clamping plate 27 in the gripping position, the end of the pin 41 interacts with a stop 44, also mounted on the guide 9.
Using the stop 44 (see FIG. 10), when the gripper 21 ' approaches it, the clamping plate 27 is rotated to the on position.
Behind the stop 44, a slide 45 is located on the path of movement of the gripper 21, which is fixed motionless relative to the bolt 46 and suspended on the spring 47 using the eye 48.
The slide 45 is in the path of movement of the roller 39, which rises when the corresponding gripper 21 passes along the slide 45, as a result of which the clamping plate 27 approaches the supporting plate 23 and the printing sheets 1 are gripped.
To engage the gripper 21, the clamping plate 27 is screwed into the on position using the stop 44 and. parts 41 of the pin. Then, switching on by means of slide 45 follows. The rod 36 is fixed in the switching position by the plate 30. To release the printed sheets 1, the power cylinder 35 serves. After the plate 30 is uncoupled, the corresponding grip 21 fits to the stop clamp 43 (see Fig. 10 ), which rotates the clamping plate 27 to the side.
The gripping housing 49 has a sleeve
50, which is mounted on the underside of the console 51 (see FIG. 11). The upright 52 of the console 51 is attached by means of a square 53 to the chain conveyor 6. j
A rod 54 with a clamping plate 27 moves in the sleeve 50, while the supporting plate 23 is mounted on the sleeve 50. A pin 55 passes through the rod 54, one end of which enters the rectangular groove 56 of the sleeve 50.
Accordingly, the initial position of the pin 55, the clamping plate 27 is overlapped by the support plate 23.
In the off position of the clamping plate 27, the pin 55 is located in the horizontal part 57 of the groove 56. The rod 54 along the groove 56 can perform rotational or axial movement. The rod 54, by means of a threaded connection 20, is rigidly connected to the drive chuck 58, which is rigidly connected to the rotating handle and surrounds the sleeve 50 with its casing.
Between the casing of the driving cartridge 25 58 and the sleeve 50 there is a spring 59, which is fixed at one end of the end of the driving cartridge 58, and the other end - in part 60 of the capture housing 49. 30
Spring 59 moves on one side of the drive cartridge 58, if the pin 55 is in the groove 56; on the other hand, such a spring rotates the drive chuck 58 so that the 35 pin 55 enters the horizontal portion 57 of the groove 56 if the drive chuck 58 with the shaft 54 is pressed vertically down to its final position.
With the help of the lever 61, when the last one is installed opposite the link 62, the rod 54 is rotated together with the lead cartridge 58, overcoming the resistance of the spring 59, so that the pin 55 is removed from the horizontal part 57. The groove 56 is located relative to the pin 55 so that the rod 54 is moved by the spring 59 upward.
The clamping plate 27, overlapping with the supporting plate 23 by the previous 50 turn, picks up the edge of the printed sheets 1 and holds it under the action of the spring 59.
To open the grip 49, the driving cartridge 58 together with the rod is pushed 55 down. The spring 59 helps to unscrew the clamping plate 27, which, in cooperation with the horizontal part 57 of the groove 56, is held locked. Ring 63 covers 60 and moves along the casing of the lead cartridge 58.
It interacts with the shoulder 64 of the drive cartridge 58 to move the drive cartridge down. 65
The ring 63 carries a transverse rib 65 of a segmented shape, which is inserted by means of a pin 66 into the driving groove 67 of the vertical strut 52 of the console 51. A roller 68 is mounted on the transverse rib 65, which together with the link serves to move the drive cartridge 58 downward using the ring 63 when the gripper 21 should open.
The axis of rotation 69 of the roller 68 carries a nozzle 70 angular shape for lifting the roller 68 with a closed clamp.
The grippers 71 are mounted on a chain conveyor located in the guide 72 and secured with a bolt 73, which is inserted into the eye 74 of the housing 75 of the gripper 71 and secured with a pin 76 (see Fig. 12-14). The extension of the tab 74 forms a support plate 77 of the grip 71. The clamping plates 7B of the grip 71 are mounted on a rod 79, which in the hole 80 of the housing 75 along with the end portion 81 moves in the guide 82 and rotates.
The shaft 79 has a shaft support portion 83 surrounded by a support sleeve 84 of the pivot portion 85 connected to the shaft 79 by a pin.
The compression force of the spring 86, which abuts against the housing 75 at one end and the pivoting part 85 at the other, is transmitted to the rod 79, the clamping plate 78 being pressed in the direction of its off position. Since the ends of the spring 86 are mounted on the housing 75 or on the rotary part 85 against rotation and the spring 86 is pre-stressed not only in its axial direction, but also in the circumferential direction, the support plate 77 of each gripper 71 is held at an angle to the support plate in its position inclusion.
In the off position of the clamping plate 78 is the roller 87 on the axis 88 in the hollow housing 89 of the rotary part 85 inside the housing 75.
The control cam 90 of the pivot portion 85 protrudes from the side.
The cam 90 cooperates with the linkage 91, mounted on the side of the guide 72, which has a beveled ramp. Opposite the latter, cam 90 moves.
The pivoting portion 85 of the gripper 71 is deflected so that the roller 87 exits the housing 75. The pivoting 87 is lifted by the yoke 91. The clamping plate 78 of the gripping 71, which comes into overlap with the support plate 77 when the pivoting part 85 is deflected, rises to the on position.
The linkage 91 is movably on the axis 92 and, thanks to the spring · 93, is held in an inclined position in order to balance the differences in the thickness of the printed sheets 1.
Each capturing 71 the clamping plate 78 is held in the on position by plate 94, which with its end 95 held _ obliquely in the gap 96 of the tab 74 and for the 5 action of the compression springs 97 warps, the rod 79 extending through the plate opening 94 may be retained under action pru- {zhiny 86.
In order for the spring 94 to return from its skewed position, the spring 86 must 'move and simultaneously rotate the shaft 79, while the clamping plate 78 moves from the on position 15 to the off position. The plate 94 has a nozzle 98 mounted at an angle relative to the direction of movement of the gripper 71.
In the movement path of the nozzle 98 or 20 of the part 99 are deflecting elements, for example, rollers, through which the plate 94 can be released from external influences.

The grippers 71 are mounted on a chain conveyor located in the guide 72 and secured with a bolt 73, which is inserted into the eyelet 74 of the body 75 of the gripper 71 and secured with a pin 76 (see Fig. 12-14). The extension of the ear 74 forms the support plate 77 of the gripper 71. The clamping plates 78 of the gripper 71 are fixed to the rod 79, which in the opening 80 of the housing 75 together with the end section 81 moves in the guide 82 and rotates. The rod 79 has a shaft bearing 83, surrounded by a bearing sleeve 84 of the rotary part 85, which is connected to the shaft 79 by means of a pin. The compression force of the spring 86, which at one end abuts against the housing 75 and the other against the rotary part 85, is transmitted to the rod 79, with the clamping plate 78 being pressed in the direction of its shutdown position. Since the ends of the spring 86 are fixed against the housing 75 or on the rotatable Part 85 against rotation and the spring 86 is set prestressed not only in its axial direction, but also in the circumferential direction, the supporting plate 77 of each gripper 71 is held at an angle to the supporting plate switching position. In the off position of the clamping plate 78, there is a roller 87 on the axis 88 in the hollow body 89 of the rotatable part 85 inside the housing 75. The control cam 90 of the rotary part 85 protrudes from the side. The cam 90 interacts with the link 91, a laterally reinforced guide 72, which has a ramp. The cam 90 moves against the latter. The turning part 85 of the gripper 71 deflects, so that the roller 87 leaves the housing 75. The roller 87 rises with the aid of the wings 91. The clamping plate 78 of the gripper 71 coming into the overlap with the supporting plate 77 when the turning part 85 deviates it rises to the on position. The curtain 91 is movably on the axis 92 and, thanks to the spring 93, is held in an inclined position to TOR, in order to balance the differences in thickness of the printed sheets 1. In each gripper 71, the clamping plate 78 is held in the switched position by means of a plate 94, which is 95 in the gap 96, the lug 74 and under the action of the compression springs 97 are twisted, while the rod 79 passing through the opening of the plate 94 can be held under the action of the spring 66. For toro, the spring 94 returns from the twisted position, the spring 86 must- move and simultaneously rotate the rod 79, while the clamps on the plate 78 will move from the on position to the off position. Plate 94 has a collar 98 mounted at an angle relative to the direction of movement of the gripper 71. On the path of movement of the nozzle 98 or part 99, there are elements, such as rollers, which deflect plate 94 can be freed from external influence. Claim 1.
